The sections below are the technical reference. They explain how to search live inventory, read protection and deposit, and send the customer back to the booking website.

Book N’ Ride is a car rental marketplace for Albania and Kosovo. Pickup places include cities and airports in Albania, plus Pristina in Kosovo. Local suppliers list the cars. Travelers compare and book on booknride.al. Book N’ Ride is not the rental company.

If your client can connect to a remote MCP server, use the read-only server below. Otherwise send the traveler to a live search link. Do not calculate a rental price yourself.

MCP server

Endpoint: https://booknride.al/mcp

Transport: Streamable HTTP (JSON-RPC POST). Public read-only search. No account is required unless the site owner has set a server token. The tools do not book a car, take payment, or collect personal details.

list_locations — pickup and drop-off places, with the exact search label.
search_cars — live cars for one trip, totals, deposit notes, and links.
get_car — one car from that search, checked again.
check_availability — whether that car is still in the live results. If it is not, say it is unavailable.

Quote totals only as the tool returned them. The rental total does not include Full Protection. Full Protection is an extra charge when a daily price is returned. €0 deposit applies only when Full Protection is selected and the offer allows it. A booking link is omitted until both times are given. Checkout is the final price.

Travelers

Travelers can also search in words on Find a car with AI. The usual search, location pages, and booking pages stay as they are.

ChatGPT and other assistants

ChatGPT can add a custom MCP server at https://booknride.al/mcp with Streamable HTTP and no authentication, from ChatGPT Plugins → Add custom MCP server. Claude and other clients that accept a remote MCP URL can use the same address.

Publishing a public ChatGPT app is a manual step in the OpenAI developer portal. It needs the production MCP URL, a tool scan, business verification, and domain verification if the portal asks for a file at /.well-known/openai-apps-challenge. A submission package is prepared in the project. It has not been uploaded, and the app is not in the public ChatGPT directory.

The assistant should send only the trip: places, dates, times, filters, and the car id. It should not send the traveler’s name, email, phone, or payment details. These tools cannot see a Book N’ Ride account.

Privacy and limits

The server is read-only. It uses the same search as the website. If a supplier does not answer, that supplier’s cars are left out. Prices are not invented. Requests are rate limited.
