Introduction
These Terms & Conditions govern the use of the Book N' Ride platform ("Book N' Ride", "we", "our", or "the Platform"), operated in Albania under a registered VAT number M01909019E.
By using the website and completing a booking, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
1. About the Service
Book N' Ride is an online vehicle rental marketplace that connects customers with independent car rental providers.
Book N' Ride does not own rental vehicles and is not a party to the vehicle rental agreement between the customer and the rental provider.
Our role is limited to:
- displaying vehicle offers and availability
- processing reservations and payments
- issuing booking confirmations ("Voucher")
- facilitating communication between the customer and rental provider.
2. Booking Process
When making a reservation, you select:
- vehicle category or specific vehicle (if guaranteed)
- rental dates
- pick-up/drop-off location
- additional services.
A booking is confirmed only after payment is successfully processed and a confirmation Voucher is issued via email.
Vehicle availability is subject to confirmation by the rental provider. In rare cases, a similar or higher-class vehicle may be provided instead.
3. Payments
Available payment methods may include:
- credit/debit cards
- PayPal
- other supported payment providers.
Depending on the rental provider, bookings may be:
- Partial Prepayment – part paid online, remaining balance paid at pick-up
- Full Prepayment – full amount paid online
- Pay on Arrival – payment made directly to the rental provider at pick-up.
Any security deposit required at vehicle collection is handled directly by the rental provider, not by Book N' Ride.
4. Cancellations & Refunds
- Cancellations made at least 48 hours before the scheduled pick-up time are eligible for Booking Credit for future use.
- Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled pick-up time are generally non-refundable.
- No refunds are issued after the scheduled pick-up time.
- Bookings made within 48 hours of the scheduled pick-up time may be non-refundable.
- In the event of a no-show, additional charges may apply.
- Booking Credit is valid for up to 3 years, unless otherwise stated.
Vehicle Availability
Book N' Ride and its rental providers guarantee the booked vehicle category and the essential rental characteristics, including:
- vehicle category (or equivalent class);
- transmission type (Automatic or Manual);
- air conditioning, where specified in the booking;
- seating capacity and major vehicle specifications shown in the booking confirmation.
The vehicle displayed during the booking process is for illustrative purposes only. Where stated, bookings are confirmed for the selected vehicle or similar. The exact make, model, model year, colour, fuel type (unless specifically guaranteed), mileage, trim level, engine specification, or other cosmetic or manufacturer-specific features cannot be guaranteed.
The rental provider may supply a comparable or higher-category vehicle with equivalent or better specifications at no additional cost if the reserved vehicle is unavailable.
The provision of a similar or upgraded vehicle that meets the booked category and essential characteristics does not constitute grounds for cancellation, refund, compensation, or any reduction in the rental price.
The "or similar" policy is clearly disclosed throughout the search results, vehicle pages, and booking process before a reservation is confirmed.
5. Modifications
Booking modifications must be requested at least 48 hours before pick-up through the booking management section of the website.
Changes requested later may not be possible and are subject to provider approval.
6. Vehicle Pick-Up Requirements
The main driver must present:
- booking Voucher
- valid driver's license
- passport or ID card
- valid credit card in the driver's name (if required)
- International Driving Permit if required by local law or provider policy.
The customer is solely responsible for ensuring that the main driver and any additional drivers are legally entitled to drive the reserved vehicle under the laws of the country where the rental takes place. This includes complying with any legal restrictions relating to driving experience, probationary or novice driver status, age, licence category, engine power or vehicle category, or any other applicable legal requirements.
Where applicable, Albanian law may restrict drivers holding recently issued or probationary driving licences from operating certain vehicles. It is the customer's responsibility to verify that they are legally permitted to drive the selected vehicle before completing a booking.
If the customer or any additional driver does not meet the legal requirements or is otherwise ineligible to drive the reserved vehicle, the rental provider may refuse to release the vehicle. Such refusal shall not constitute grounds for a refund, compensation, or cancellation outside the applicable cancellation policy.
Failure to provide the required documents or to satisfy the applicable legal driving requirements may result in the rental being refused without refund.
7. Full Coverage Protection
Some rental providers available through Book N' Ride offer an optional Full Protection package.
Where available, Full Protection:
- is provided directly by the rental provider, not by Book N' Ride or a third-party insurance company;
- is governed by the rental agreement signed between the customer and the rental provider at vehicle pickup;
- provides coverage with no excess (zero deductible) for covered damages, subject to the rental provider's terms, conditions, exclusions, and local laws.
The exact scope of coverage, exclusions, and conditions may vary between rental providers and will be explained before the rental agreement is signed.
Unless expressly stated otherwise in the rental agreement, Full Protection does not cover, or may exclude, damage resulting from:
- driving on unpaved, off-road, or prohibited roads;
- damage to tyres, wheels, rims, the undercarriage, roof, interior, or glass;
- misuse, negligence, or use of the vehicle in violation of the rental agreement;
- mechanical damage caused by improper use of the vehicle;
- unauthorized drivers. The vehicle is covered only when driven by the person named in the rental agreement or by any additional driver expressly authorized and recorded in the rental agreement;
- driving while under the influence of alcohol, narcotics, drugs, or any other substance that impairs the driver's ability to operate the vehicle safely;
- intentional damage, illegal acts, racing, or reckless driving.
In the event of an accident, theft, or other incident, the customer must immediately notify the rental provider and comply with all instructions. Where required by local law or by the rental provider's policy, a valid police report must be obtained. Failure to obtain a required police report or to comply with the rental provider's procedures may result in the loss of Full Protection coverage.
Book N' Ride acts solely as a booking platform and is not a party to the insurance or protection agreement between the customer and the rental provider. Any claims relating to Full Protection are subject to the rental provider's terms and conditions.
8. Liability
Book N' Ride is not responsible for:
- actions or omissions of rental providers
- vehicle condition or availability
- additional charges imposed by providers
- blocked or charged security deposits
- losses caused by incorrect customer information
- indirect losses, delays, cancellations, or provider-related disputes.
The rental agreement itself is concluded directly between the customer and the rental provider.
9. Booking Termination
Book N' Ride reserves the right to cancel or refuse a booking in cases including:
- suspected fraud or abuse
- technical or pricing errors
- provider unavailability
- failed security or verification checks.
If a booking is cancelled by Book N' Ride before pick-up, amounts paid to Book N' Ride will be refunded where applicable.
10. Privacy & Data Protection
Personal data is processed in accordance with applicable EU and Albanian data protection laws, including GDPR principles.
Customer information may be shared with the rental provider solely for booking and rental purposes.

11. Acceptable Use
The website may only be used for legitimate rental reservations.
Users must not:
- make false or fraudulent bookings
- misuse the platform
- attempt unauthorized access to the website or systems.
12. Complaints
Complaints relating to bookings should be submitted within 28 days after vehicle drop-off.
Complaints related to the rental experience itself may need to be addressed directly with the rental provider.
13. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Albania.
Any disputes arising from the use of the platform shall fall under the jurisdiction of the Albanian courts.
14. Updates to These Terms
Book N' Ride may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. The latest version will always be available on the website.
Continued use of the platform after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
